Fibroblast Scarf

Soft art-silk scarf. Design origin: confocal microscopy image of mitochondrial networks in dermal fibroblasts.

Mitochondria are organells that play the key role in energy flow of every cell. Mitochondria create a network in a cell. Conditions of the network can indicate how healthy the cell is. Using different stains one can distinguish healthy mitochondria from damaged ones. Green: all mitochondria. Orange and red: not damaged ones.
