What Data Is Collected
If you submit a custom-piece inquiry, SciCanvas may collect your name, email address, organization or lab, website, project context, scientific field, description of the image or source files, preferred timeline, budget range, uploaded source or preview files, and any notes you choose to provide.
If you contact SciCanvas by email, the content of your message and your email address are processed so the message can be answered.
Why The Data Is Used
Inquiry data is used to review your request, assess whether the project fits SciCanvas, prepare a reply, and continue communication about a possible custom piece. The legal basis is your request before entering into a possible agreement and SciCanvas's legitimate interest in responding to inquiries.
Storage And Sharing
Inquiry form submissions are sent by email to SciCanvas. Website hosting and email infrastructure may be provided by third-party service providers such as Forpsi. Personal data is not sold.
Data is kept only for as long as needed to respond to the inquiry, manage the potential project, satisfy legal obligations, or preserve necessary business records.
Your Rights
Under GDPR, you may have the right to request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and data portability where applicable. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
